Helped a sustainable brand leader stand out in a crowded market

Challenge

Cotopaxi is a small, sustainable outdoor brand with giant ambitions. While it’s known among outdoor enthusiasts in key geographies, national brand awareness was very low. GALE’s objective was to test and prove the effectiveness of brand marketing in select markets and show real impact on their business. 

Solution

After analyzing Cotopaxi’s first-party data, we chose Denver as the market for the test. To stand out from other outdoor brands we created a dynamic new logo treatment and campaign look and feel. The products we featured were carefully chosen based on our ‘first-purchase’ analyses as the ones that most predict a higher lifetime value. The campaign included bold outdoor ads as well as a series of videos for social and display media.
