About Gale

At GALE, the SEO writer is responsible for helping our clients improve their organic search visibility and achieve channel goals & KPIs. In this role you will plan, create and optimize content. The job includes a great deal of client contact and cross-team collaboration between teams such as marketing (e.g. PPC), web development, web design, content production, mobile, social media, and public relations.

What You Will Do

  • Manage SEO projects on assigned accounts
  • Facilitate the delivery of client or internal projects
  • Produce & manage keyword research
  • Perform technical, content, link and reporting audits
  • Develop high-level link building strategies
  • Make recommendations to clients regarding optimization, or implement directly when appropriate
  • Work closely with internal Account Managers’ to develop integrated digital strategies
  • Manage activity and processes required to effectively run SEO projects
  • Increase your own and the agency’s knowledge in the field of SEO
  • Analyze the performance of campaigns, identifying strategic opportunities, facilitating change in order to hit and exceed client expectations and KPIs
  • Provide SEO training to internal teams and clients
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and all applicable technologies, including developments in – SEO, social media, PPC, analytics, online marketing, E-commerce and online consumer behavior

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience focusing on SEO with a strong knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects and meeting tight timelines
  • Specific technical web experience, such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS is preferred
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with both web developers and content creators to accomplish SEO objectives
  • Proficient in MS office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
