About Gale

We're currently seeking Contract Data Engineers to join our rapidly growing big data team – ones that have a passion for working with real world data to design, develop and deploy scalable, high volume batch and real-time data solutions (dashboards, data feeds, and ML/AI algorithms) for AdTech/Martech solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a background in a quantitative field and have experience with Data engineering techniques and technologies, large datasets, the AWS ecosystem, statistics/analysis, and client-facing activities. They will be enthusiastic, creative, results focused, and have enough confidence to define, build, and present models to C-suite executives in industries ranging from automotive to startup. You will have the opportunity to work across varying sets of data with a variety of clients.


What You Will Do

●      Design, develop and deploy scalable, high volume batch and real-time data solutions (dashboards, data feeds, and ML/AI algorithms) for AdTech/Martech solutions

●      Help build and streamline our data workflows, adding value to our product offering and building out our customer lifecycle and retention models

●      Be an advocate for best practices and continued learning

●      Design and build ELT processes on the AWS stack

●      Build data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sources

●      Use agile software development processes to iteratively make improvements to data workflows

●      Model data sources to help draw a more comprehensive picture of user flows throughout our system and enable powerful data analysis


Who You Are

●      Demonstrated experience in computer science, information technology, engineering.

●      Demonstrated experience in statistics, applied math, or related discipline

●      3 or more years of experience with Python, SQL, Spark and relevant Data engineering techniques and technologies

●      Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem specifically RedShift and Athena

●      Communication skills, especially explaining technical concepts to non-technical business leaders

●      Comfort working in a dynamic, research-oriented team with concurrent projects

●      Experience building or maintaining ETL processes
