About the role

We are seeking a results-driven, goal oriented Associate Media Director. This role is a crucial component in delivering results for our largest, most distinguished, enterprise-level clients. You will be responsible for ensuring that communications strategies are effectively translated into plans and for leading the development and implementation of those plans. The Associate Director is expected to have a strong working knowledge of the media space (both traditional and digital media) and available media research.

  • Interview with a member of our Leadership Team.

What You Will Do

  • With the Director, constructs the strategic foundation for media plan development, leads the development of strategic media plans and ensures consistency across all channels
  • Has the ability to autonomously manage all aspects of the brand, while briefing the Director on key developments and issues
  • Oversees the day-to-day execution of the media plan and works with all the investment teams to ensure all plans adhere to strategy
  • Works with media and account services teams to measure plans upon implementation and after execution to ensure delivery against strategic plans/goals
  • Develops and presents recommendations, evaluations, POVs and media analyses to clients and Account -
    Service team.
  • Supervises all team projects, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time
  • Manages a planning team, ensuring their development and growth
  • Maintains regular client contact and relationship building, including client calls
  • Conversant in all media channels, inclusive of TV, Digital (Display, Video, Social, Mobile), Print, and OOH
  • Works with the Director to formulate communications plan strategy
  • Compiles and presents plan recommendation decks
  • Is up-to-date in industry and technology development
  • Act as final resource for all inventory, billing and invoice discrepancies
  • Balance, prioritize and properly assign work associated with multiple, concurrent projects

Who You Are

  • 5+ years agency experience or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge in traditional & digital media planning
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts and practices with the ability to apply this knowledge in common business situations
  • Mastery of media fundamentals, including media math, target audience development, and communication goals
  • Strong familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and concepts
  • Mastery in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and media research/reporting resources
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently present and “sell through” ideas both internally and to clients
  • Ability to work within a team, handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
