GALE

A Business Agency

Q. Welcome to GALE! Can you tell us about your role as a Web Analytics Manager?

I’ve been here six months now, and no two days have been the same! I am fortunate to work on a variety of different projects with a variety of different clients. From creating and implementing analytics tracking plans to digging deep into the data to inform website redesigns, I cover a breadth of rewarding tasks to help our clients better understand their digital users. 2022 is going to be a great year as we continue to make team process improvements and meet the dynamic needs of our clients. I am very excited for the future of Web Analytics at GALE!

Q. Why do you think web analytics are so crucial to brand health?

A brand’s website can be a major touchpoint in a customer's journey and Web Analytics gives us visibility into the activities of current and prospective customers when they engage with that website. It captures detailed and insightful data about website visitors to better inform product and service development. Web Analytics also presents opportunities to test creative, new features and other website changes to optimize user experience. How all these elements deliver can impact brand health.

Q. Are there any new technologies or platforms you’re excited about in the realm of data and analytics?

If you ask me next week my answer might change! At the moment, I currently see the wide adoption of analytics tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) in websites and apps still largely siloed or haphazardly integrated. I think the newest version of Google Analytics called GA4 is the future in unified measurement where Web and App can be measured seamlessly together.

Q. What advice would you give to someone interested in pursuing a career in tech?

Be ready to solve problems and never stop creating. We work in an inspiring field that affects our everyday lives. The nature of our work breeds creativity and promotes problem-solving abilities. A strong foundation of technical skills is essential, but it’s these attributes with professional curiosity that can help the career in tech to blossom.

Q. What do you think sets GALE apart from other companies?

In the duration of my career, I’ve recognized GALE as the best at empowering its employees. Such positive energy from the employer makes possible a chain of inspired work the GALE team does for clients. The professionals I’ve had the privilege to work with here have been rewarding and impressive. In addition, the quality of clients has been amazing. GALE offers clients the whole package with end-to-end solutions and sets itself apart with its delivery.

Q. When you’re not at work, you’re…

Probably still working! I am in my home office a lot these days with my work at GALE, pursuing a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, and working on side projects. Despite the amount of work, I strive to keep a work-life balance. I often find time to do a spontaneous date night with my partner, go to the dog park with my Border Collie, Piper, or do some house maintenance like cleaning out the mold in the attic!

Q. Who or what inspires you?

I could name a celebrity or historical figure but in all honesty the person who inspires me the most is my partner, Carina. By the definition of the word, I cannot think of another person who fills me with the ability to do more and to be better as a person.
